Massachusetts. Executive Office of Environmental Affairs
The Executive Office of Environmental Affairs was established by St 1974, c 806 to carry out the environmental policies of Massachusetts. The office, whose functions are described in MGLA c 21A, is under the supervision of an appointed secretary, and consists in its principal units of the Dept. of Environmental Protection (formerly Environmental Quality Engineering), Dept. of Environmental Management, Dept. of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Environmental Law Enforcement (formerly Fisheries, Wildlife, and Recreational Vehicles), and Dept. of Food and Agriculture (s 7); also the Metropolitan District Commission (s 7), Coastal Zone Management Office (s 4A), Office of Geographic and Environmental Information (s 4B), Water Resources Commission (s 8A), and Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MGLA c 92, App 1-1)
