Dallaway, James, 1763-1834
James Dallaway (1763-1834), antiquary and clergyman, was the author of many works on heraldry, architecture, and other subjects. His writings on architecture attempt to divide the Gothic style into periods and to produce lists of contemporary buildings in each style.
