Farris, John Wallace de Beque, 1878-1970.
Born in New Brunswick, Farris attended St. Martin's Seminary and Acadia University. He gained his Ll.B, from the U. of Pennsylvania. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1903. In 1916 he was elected Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly of B.C. for Vancouver and held office until 1924. From 1917-1922 Farris was Attorney General and Labour Minister. He became a Senator in 1937.
