Illinois. Recreation Council
The Illinois Recreational Council was created by General Assembly in 1967 to advise Governor and General Assembly on making maximum beneficial uses of state's recreational resources, needs of general public and of special interest groups related to recreational facilities, and on prioritizing recreation projects. It was to report biennially to General Assembly (l. 1967, pp. 4239-4240). Council was abolished by Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984 (P.A.83-1257, p. 1176).
