Garza, Lázaro de la
Born in Laredo, Texas. De la Garza served as financial agent for Francisco (Pancho) Villa. Named Agente Financiero de la Division del Norte in Oct. 1913, he served as president of the Banco del Estado de Chihuahua, created by General Villa in Dec. 1913, and was director of the Comisión de la Hacienda in Torreón. He was also president of L. de la Garza & Co., Inc., an import, export and commission business organized in New York in 1915; other officers were Rafael L. Hernández and José F. Farías. De la Garza left Mexico in 1914 and moved to Los Angeles, California.
