Texas Association of College Teachers
The Texas Association of College Teachers (TACT) was founded in 1948 to serve as a voluntary organization of faculty, librarians, and research personnel in public colleges and universities in Texas. Its main functions are to lobby the state legislature in matters concerning higher education and to inform its membership of pertinent news including legislative action on salary increases, questions of academic freedom, and comparisons of pension plans.
