U.S. Department of Agriculture entomologist whose work with new propellant systems and pesticide formulations won international recognition.

Coinventor with Lyle B. Goodhue of the aerosol bomb better known as the "bug bomb." Won honors from the World Health Organization for his studies on ridding aircraft of insects ; wrote numerous scientific papers, mostly on aerosols and biological rhythms of insects.
