Miller, Samuel R.

Samuel and Mary Miller were married and resided in Sunbury, Georgia. John and Elizabeth Graves were married and also resided in Sunbury, Georgia. The Graves and Miller couples sold 500 acres of land to Peter Lavien and John Rean on 10 May 1777 in St. Phillip's Parish, Georgia (now mostly Bryan and Bulloch counties). Peter Lavien was a half-brother of Alexander Hamilton and had land holdings in Georgia, South Carolina, and St. Croix. He was also the first Jewish settler recorded as having lived in Beaufort, South Carolina.
