Kelsey, Dandridge E. (Dandridge Eliphalet), 1818-1904.
Dandridge Eliphant Kelsey was born March 27, 1818, in Dearborn County, Ind. He married three times: to Mercy Lacock on February 10, 1842, by whom he had 4 children; to Elizabeth Boatman Wilson; and to Rebecca Jane Burgess, on November 26, 1867, by whom he had 4 more children. After his marriage to Rebecca, the Kelseys moved to Kansas. While in Dearborn County, Kelsey was a farmer, laborer, and teamster. During the Civil War, he was commissioned second lieutenant in the 83rd Regiment Indiana Volunteers.
