Harold Maurice Abrahams,1899-1978. A barrister by profession, but much better known as the gold medallist in the 100m at the 1924 Paris Olympics, the public voice of athletics in Britain (he was Vice-President of the Amateur Athletics Association from 1948), and as an athletics broadcaster for 40 years.
