Roderuck, Charlotte E.

Charlotte Elizabeth Roderuck earned a B.S. (1940) from the University of Pittsburgh; an M.S. (1942) in Organic Chemistry from Washington State University; and a Ph. D (1949) in Biochemistry from the University of Iowa. She was employed by Iowa State University as an Assistant Professor (1948-1951); Associate Professor (1952-1953) and Professor (1954-1977) in the Home Economics Dept/Food and Nutrition Dept. She directed numerous programs and also served as the Director of the World Food Institute (1977-1987). Roderuck worked internationally in India, Nigeria, Honduras, and Guatemala.

Roderuck was named the Mary B. Welch Emeritus Distinguished Professor in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, and in 1988, was named Professor Emeritus of Food and Nutrition.
