Burnett, Edgar Albert, 1865-1941.
Agriculturalist, educator, and university administrator; born Oct. 17, 1865 in Hartland, Mich.; granted B.S. at Michigan State College, 1887; farmed in Michigan and Canada and taught at Michigan State College and South Dakota State College before coming to the University of Nebraska as professor of animal husbandry, 1899; appointed associate dean of agricultural instruction, 1901, and dean of the College of Agriculture, 1909; appointed acting chancellor, 1927, and chancellor of the University of Nebraska, 1928; retired, 1938; died in Lincoln, June 28, 1941.
