Frierson, Eddie.
Christy Mathewson pitched for the New york Giants (1900-1916) and the Cincinnati Reds (1916). After his playing career, Mathewson managed the Reds (1916-1918, one game as player-manager in 1916), coached for the Giants, and served as president of the Boston Braves. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936.
