University of Chicago. Department of Physiology
The Department of Physiology was founded with the establishment of the University of Chicago's first Courses of Instruction in 1892. Notable faculty in the department have included Franklin C. McLean, Arno B. Luckhardt, Anton Julius Wilson, and the groundbreaking sleep researcher Nathaniel Kleitman.
