National Ballet (Washington, D.C.)

The National Ballet was founded in 1962 by Jean Riddell and was disbanded in 1974. Frederick Franklin was artistic director throughout its existence. The Ballet performed at the Kennedy Center and George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium. The Ballet also toured frequently to New York City and other major cities in the U.S.
