Wright, J. Frank.
J. Frank Wright, a life-long resident of southeast Utah, was a boatman for Nevills Expeditions in the late 1940s. When Nevills was killed in a plane crash in September 1949, Wright, along with fellow boatmen Jim and Bob Rigg of Grand Junction, took over the river company and renamed it Mexican Hat Expeditions. This they ran together for several years, until Wright sold his interest to become the chief boatman for the Glen Canyon Salvage Project parties.
