Key, Alice, 1911-

Alice Key came to Las Vegas in 1955 as Public Relations Director for the Moulin Rouge Hotel. She co-hosted the first all-black television show in Las Vegas and was editor of the Las Vegas voice, the city's first black newspaper. Key was active in civil rights and served in many positions, including director of the Nevada Commission for the Rights of Women, director of the Las Vegas branch of the NAACP, and labor commission member.
