Haynes, Horace H.
Horace H. Haynes, a Methodist and Socialist, was a conscientious objector during the First World War. He was court-martialled and sentenced to two years hard labour, imprisoned at Wormwood Scrubs, Sep.-Dec. 1916, Warwick Prison, Belmont Sutton, and, from Apr. 1917-Aug. 1918, Dartmoor.
