United Nations Preparatory Commission.
The United Nations Preparatory Commission (UNPC) was responsible for establishing the United Nations, its organs, committees, and relations with specialized agencies, as well as transferring the assets of the League of Nations. The UNPC carried out its work by means of a series of committees, each in charge of formulating recommendations concerning one aspect of the work of the United Nations. The UNPC ceased in February 1946.
