Ringueberg, Eugene N. S., 1859-1937.

Eugene N.S. Ringueberg was born on April 13, 1859. He received a degree in medicine from the University of Buffalo in 1886, specializing in opthalmology. In 1891 he opened an office in Lockport, New York for treatment of the eye. His interest in science and natural history led him to collect minerals, fossils, insects, and other objects. In 1889 he became one of the 100 original Fellows of the Geological Society of America. He was also a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of the County of Niagara, the Academy of Opthalmology and Oto-Laryngology, the Buffalo Opthalmological Club, and was elected a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1885. He was also a corresponding member of the Buffalo Society of Natural Science and the Buffalo Microscopical Club.
