Stirling Mills.

The company was a woolen mill in Lowell, Mass. Organized in Dec., 1879, the directors were Ezra Farnsworth, Samuel B. Rindge, Edward D. Holden, and William H. Sherman. Ezra Farnsworth was also the company's first president. Parker, Wilder & Co., Boston, were appointed selling agents, and Edward Holden was company agent as well as one of the directors. Holden's grandson, Louis A. Olney became assistant treasurer in 1912 and later served as treasurer and president. The company closed in 1935.
