Oregon State Normal School (Monmouth, Or.)
This set of glass lantern slides was developed in the days of President Ackerman's administration (1911-1921). This set of slides was kept in the attic of Campbell Hall until 1928 and were considered valuable in terms of the history of Oregon College of Education. These slides are all of scenes on campus, nearby training schools in Airlie, Monmouth and Independence, and a few local city scenes including the Independence-Monmouth train.
Sitting in attic with the slides was a Delineascope slide projector, which was quite heavy and had a long barrel holding the lenses. The projector was used in K-12 education, as well as in colleges, universities, and training situations from the 1920s-1960s.
