Public Service Company of Colorado (Denver, Colo.)

Formed as a holding company for Henry Doherty's New York based Cities Service Company in 1923, Public Service Company of Colorado, purchased or merged with all of its competition by 1930, becoming the largest public utility in Colorado. In 1943 Cities Service Company was forced to divest itself of all its Colorado holdings.
