Woodard, Bertha 1916-
Resident of Sparks, Nevada, employed by the Washoe Medical Center, member of the Sparks United Methodist Church, and active in the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). She attended the 1963 "March on Washington" on behalf of civil rights and the 1983 "Peace, jobs, and freedom" rally. In 1981 the University of Nevada, Reno, confired the Distinguished Nevadan award on Woodard. Her husband was Nevada civil rights leader Ulysses (Woody) Woodard.
