Smith, Thomas Charles.
The Western Australian Company was formed in England in 1836 to promote an independent land development scheme for English migrants to WA. Marshall Waller Clifton was appointed to form a settlement at Australind. The venture proved unsuccessful and migration ceased at the end of 1842.
