McCance, Charles.
Biographical Sketch: McCance was Director of the Division of Quarentine, CDC. His career began as a quarentine inspector in the 1950s in New York City at what would become JFK International Airport, inspecting for smallpox, cholera and yellow fever. He later worked for the CDC in its malaria eradication program. Lastly, he worked in the PHS Office of Refugee Health.
