Savage, Samuel Phillips, 1718?-1797.
Samuel Phillips Savage (1718?-1797) was a Boston, Mass., merchant, constable, insurance broker, and selectman, 1760-1761. Savage was appointed moderator of the Town Meeting held at the Old South Church on the evening of the Boston Tea Party. He also served on the Massachusetts Board of War during the Revolution and was appointed Judge of the Middlesex County Court of Common Pleas in 1782.
