Paul, Frederick
Frederick Paul was born in California. He received a bachelors degree (1939) and a Juris Doctor degree (1940) from the University of Washington. He was admitted to the Washington state bar (1940) and the Alaska territorial bar (1941). He began private law practice in Seattle in 1947, and became an authority on Indian law and aboriginal title in the United States. He represented the North Slope Eskimos in the court case which established the North Slope Borough.
