Wolper Productions
Wolper was born on Jan. 11, 1928 in New York City; attended Drake Univ. and the Univ. of Southern CA; helped form Flamingo Films, which merged with a distributing company, Motion Pictures for Television; formed Wolper Productions in 1958, which became known for developing a new market for independently-produced documentary films; it was absorbed by Metromedia Producers Corp. (MPC) in 1968, shortly after it ventured into feature films.
