Fancher, Isaac Alger, 1833-

Fancher was a lawyer in Mount Pleasant (Mich.) and authored the Past and present of Isabella County, Michigan, copies of which are in the Clarke Historical Library. He married Althea M. Preston (d. 1900). Dr. Maybee was a history professor at Central Michigan University for many years. A number of his books and papers are at the Clarke. Vowles School in Mount Pleasant (Mich.) was named for teacher Hannah Vowles who married Charles E. Vowles in 1898. Her biography and his papers are also in the Clarke.
