Ernst; and two copies of a French edition by Brandus (Paris, 1856?, pl. no. B. et Cie. 9748). The orchestra part is printed, for the tympani in the overture. It carries the pl. no. H. 134 S. The vocal parts include three manuscript parts in German, one manuscript part in English, and four manuscript parts in French. The librettos are in English, printed (1877), in a translation by Myron Cooney and carrying the title "Villar's dragoons." The promptbooks include one manuscript book in German, one printed annotated libretto in German by Bote & Bock (Berlin, 1885), one book in French consisting of the printed libretto with bound-in pages of manuscript; and one manuscript book in English with the printed libretto cut and pasted in. It carries the indication "Hess Opera Co., 1878." The dialogue parts include five German manuscript parts, ten French manuscript parts, and twelve typescript parts, in English.
