The correspondence begins in 1831 and continues through 1861. Most of the letters have been transcribed and the transcriptions are filed with its corresponding letter. A small part of this collection relates to Captain Solomon Freeman's daughter, Olive Winslow. These include a letter to Olive and legal documents referring to Captain Freeman's estate.
