Webster, grandniece of Mark Twain, was the author of DADDY LONG LEGS. She graduated from Vassar in 1901 and married Glenn Ford McKinney in 1915.

The common thread amongst these groups of materials is Jean Webster. She was the grand niece of Samuel Clemens, and became part of the McKinney Family when she married Glenn Ford McKinney. Glenn Ford McKinney was the son of John Luke McKinney (cofounder of Standard Oil) and Ida DeEtte Ford.
