This collection consists of three scrapbooks documenting the various places the Rhodeses lived, vacations they took, and Penn State's campus. One scrapbook documents the building of the Rhodes home at 617 West Fairmount Avenue through photographs of the building from 1929 to 1931 and the first few years they lived in it, from 1932 to 1936. The other two scrapbooks contain photographs of places the Rhodes lived, including Groton, New York, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, from 1917 to 1919, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, from 1916 to 1917, and State College. There are also photographs of the Rhodes on vacation in places such as Asbury Park, Pike's Peak, and Concord, Massachusetts, Hershey Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Niagara Falls, and Glacier National Park (where they photographed people of the Blackfoot tribe). These scrapbooks also include photographs of the Mont Alto Forestry School, Penn State's main campus, and State College. The photographs of the main campus include Old Main, engineering classrooms, Grange Building, the campus power plant, and the campus covered in snow. The State College photographs include the road to Stone Valley, Beaver Avenue, and the corner of Beaver Avenue and Allen Street. There are also photographs from the civil engineering surveying camps at Kellyburg, Pennsylvania, and the total eclipse as seen from Wells, Maine, on August 31, 1932.
