Included are aerial views of Moffett Field; photographs documenting construction projects at the facility; and a panoramic photograph showing the first landing of the Navy airship USS Macon at Moffett Field in 1933 (428-MP-578).
There are additional pictures of the USS Macon and the USS Akron, including photographs showing interior fitments and the airships in-flight; balloon training and non-rigid airship operations during World War II; various Navy aircraft; and Navy photo reconnaissance activities at Guadalcanal during World War II.
