Organized into five series: I. Bylaws, Constitution and Minutes (Executive Board, 1963-1985; Security Benefits Fund Trustees, 1968-1986; General Membership Meetings, 1966-1984; and scattered minutes of Local committees). II. Correspondence (Local President, 1961-1985; Local Officers and Members, mostly 1970s; and communications from CWA national headquarters and CWA District 1). III. Bargaining Files, 1965-1985. IV. General Files, containing material on major city and state agencies involved in bargaining with the Local (State of New York Judicial Conference, New York City Human Resources Administration, Department of Social Services, Board of Education, Health and Hospitals Corporation, Port Authority, and others). Included in Series IV are correspondence, clippings, leaflets, agreements, files on job classification and civil services examinations, extensive files documenting the Local's dealings with the NYC Office of Collective Bargaining and its relations with other unions representing municipal workers (notably AFSCME District Council 37). V. Grievances and Arbitration Cases, mid-1970s-1986.
