Papers of Jackson Davis, include correspondence, photographs and travel journals, and pertain chiefly to his travels and his work with the General Education Board and the Virginia State Board of Education. Papers from the General Education Board include Davis's 1946 address at the unveiling of a bust of Booker T. Washington at New York University; and statistical summaries on Alabama counties. Davis's diaries/travel journals, 1911, 1913, as state agent for Negro Schools for the Virginia State Board of Education describe his tours through Virginia visiting African American schools and colleges, and discuss the education of African-Americans.
