Douglas (of Vienna, W. Va., bookman), Charles R. Goans (itinerant West Virginia book scout), Lyndall S. Harlow (of Lewisburg, W. Va., bookdealer), Alvin Lohr (of Hagerstown, Md., bookdealer), Herman Edmond Matheny (of Akron, Ohio, bookdealer), E.E. Meredith (of Fairmont, W. Va., journalist and historian), Delf Norona (of Moundsville, W. Va., historian and book collector), Alma Virginia Pitts (of Philippi, W. Va., active member of the Barbour County Historical Society), Boyd Blynn Stutler (of Charleston, W. Va., historian and book collector), F.B. Voegele (of Pontiac, Mich., historian and author), and Ernest James Wessen (of Mansfield, Ohio, owner of the Midland Rare Book Company). Also includes accounts, legal documents, memorandum books, and correspondence and other materials relating to the West Virginia Civil War Centennial Commission, and newspaper clippings on local history. In addition, there are scattered papers of members of the Craighill, Perry and Tayloe families, including account books, scrapbooks, and correspondence; and also medical school notes of Perry's son, Thornton Tayloe Perry (b. 1913) while a student at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, 1934-1936.
