Item from 1915 is a printed history of the Bureau, regular correspondence begins in 1933. Items mostly relate to the Massachusetts Dept. of Corrections state prison colony at Norfolk. Primary correspondents include Bureau directors Lawrence Dunham and Leonard Harrison, secretary Helen Geiger, Norfolk superintendent Howard Gill and Norfolk doctor O. L. Harvey. The bulk of the items are from 1933, when Sellin served on the bureau's staff, and 1934, when he was intimately involved in the Norfolk study.
