Letters in which Furber expresses her opposition to slavery and personal discontent with Louisiana. She comments on the unhealthy climate, the lack of religious fervor among the people, the Southerner's distrust of the Northerner, and the criticism of the faculty by the Catholic members of the Board of Trustees.
