The Library's collection of study photographs and clippings contains reference photographs and clippings of art objects from a vast array of geographic locations. The collection contains photographs and clippings of sculpture, decorative arts, architecture (locations), and paintings/drawings/prints in the following geographic categories: American, British, French, German, Italian, the Low Countries, Scandinavian, Spanish, Swiss, Miscellaneous European/Western tradition, Egyptian, Ancient Civilization, Byzantine, African, Pre-Columbian American Art, Prehistoric, Near East, Far East, and Oceania. This collection began with the purchase of Willem Rudolf Juynboll's clippings collection, but was augmented in many ways and from several sources. Other major sources of material include the Duveen Collection, purchases from the Courtauld Institute, and an Alinari subscription. The collection also includes material from independent photographers and clippings from auction catalogues collected by Clark staff members.

Prints and book illustrations (primarily etchings, lithographs, and wood engravings) by predominately English artists with American, French, and German works also represented. The collection spans the 18th - 19th centuries. there are some materials from the first half of the 20th century. Robert Scheibel was the former head of the journalism department at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California.

The Hanover Royal MusicArchive consists of printed and manuscript music, printed books about music,and related materials assembled by Ernest Augustus, King of Hanover, and hissuccessors. A significant component originated in England and concerns musicalactivity of several children of George III, circa 1770-1837, particularlyErnest Augustus, then Duke of Cumberland, and Princess Augusta, as well asPrince George of Cumberland, son of Ernest Augustus and later Georg V, King ofHanover. These materials moved to Hanover, apparently circa 1837 when ErnestAugustus succeeded William IV as King of Hanover. In Hanover, the collectionwas expanded by Ernest Augustus and Georg V, and much of the present contentrelates to music in the Hanoverian court through the mid-nineteenth century.While most materials date circa 1770-1870, a few items extend this span fromthe seventeenth through the mid-twentieth century.

An album of over 500 caricatures and drawings dating from the end of the 18th century, executed by an anonymous amateur. Some drawings are based on contemporary sources, particularly works by Thomas Rowlandson and John Collier (Tim Bobbin). Other drawings are apparently original. In addition to caricatures, drawings (executed in both pen and ink and in pencil) include landscapes, city scenes, buildings, animals and decorative motifs. Based on labels and details in some drawings, it appears the artist was probably from Cheshire.

Consists of Rowlandson's drawings in watercolor and pen and ink depicting the resemblances between the countenances of men and beasts and illustrating the statement, "Amongst the numerous religions in the World there is one which teaches that the souls of human beings pass into the bodies of other animals." Also contains an account, 1822, listing the drawings Francis Rimbault purchased from Rowlandson. Also includes: Transmigration of souls (182-?).

A man sits in an armchair next to fireplace frantically ringing for service while boling water pours from the spout of a kettle onto one of his two gouty feet. The other foot is raised from the stool to avoid the hot water but has overturned a table with tray full of dishes which has fallen in front of a maid lingering in the doorway. Embracing the maid from behind is a black footman. A screaming cat stands, back arched, in front of the man's footstool. On the left a pair of crutches are placed against the fireplace; the mantel is lined with medicinal bottles. A map hangs on the wall behind along side a barometer.
