The records in this collection cover the beginning of Centenary Methodist Episcopal Church (1866) to 1978. The collection is separated into two sections: member and financial records. Both are arranged chronologically. Of note is a list of officers for Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church (1857), an order of business for "Colored Leaders' Meeting," and an item re a Jenkins Orphanage function. Member records (1857-1978, with gaps) contain vital statistics from baptismal, marriage, and donation records of church members. Those listed under "financial records" (1899-1969, with gaps) include information re church expenditures and member donations. Also of note is a record book (1919-1936) which contains full minutes of meetings held by the Board of Trustees for Centenary re church repairs, election of committee members, fund raisers, and finances, etc.

Correspondence of the Lawrence family of Sorrento, Sullivan, and Castine, Maine. Most of the letters are addressed to Belle and are signed by either her father W.H. Lawrence or her grandfather Wm. H. Lawrence. It appears that Belle was a music student in the Boston area. The letters concern mostly family matters.
