The collection consists of fourteen items, including: postal card to Martin Secker, 6 Sept. 1922, confirming the date of a letter; picture postcard to son Robin Douglas, 22 Dec. 1932, hoping he is well; picture postcard to Mrs. and Mr. McCruden, wishing they were there, signed 'Pinorman'; letter to Dear Francis [McCruden], 6 March 1933, giving news of his activities; picture postcard to Mrs. Crotch, 2 July 1934, wishing she was there, signed 'Pino'; letter to Mrs. McCruden, 26 June 1935, asking if she knows the whereabouts of his son, Robin; picture postcard to Mrs. Gordon Crotch, 3 July 1937, with his best love, signed 'Uncle Norman'; picture post card to Mrs. Crotch, 18 July 1937, glad she likes his book, with some news and questions, signed 'Pino'; picture postcard to Mrs. Gordon Crotch, 20 June 1939, asking after her and hoping to visit soon, signed 'Pino'; picture postcard to Dearest Auntie [Martha Crotch], 13 Dec. 1950, thanking her for the birthday card, with news of his ill health; picture postcard to Martin Secker, 1 Aug, no year, with thanks and an inquiry. Also includes four envelopes, two with the letters and two empty; program from an exhibition of books from the Fountain Lawn Library of Dr. LaFayette Butler, The Curious World of Norman Douglas, held 9 May 1971 at the Ellen Clarke Bertrand Library, Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Program inscribed by Marilyn Carens. Several of the cards were written or co-written by Giuseppe 'Pino' Orioli, author and owner of a Florence bookstore, who was Douglas's close friend and business partner for some twenty years, and with whom he shared the alias 'Pinorman.'
