Contains account by Nicholas Robinson of Queen Elizabeth's visit to Cambridge including a detailed list of the founders, benefactors, eminent graduates and then members of the majority of the Cambridge colleges, with a letter from Cecil announcing the Queen's visit and an outline of the plans to be adopted, as well as the orations, etc. of the participants. Also, his account of the Queen's visit to Oxford, 1566 (leaves 154-166v), printed by Nichols in his Progresses of Queen Elizabeth; and Richard Stephens' A brief rehearsal (leaves 167-172v, 174), extracted from Thomas Neale's account of the same visit, printed in C. Plummer's Elizabethan Oxford.

Manuscript, in a single hand, of an alphabetized index whose entries refer to various people and events related to Cambridge University, and especially to Corpus Christi College, including entries for John Tytleshale and John de Necton, masters of Corpus Christi ; the Corpus Christi festival; and the unification of the guilds of Corpus Christi and St. Mary. The volume also contains numerous entries concerning the Fellows of the college, including their names, stipends, and access to the kitchens; as well as entries on masters of other colleges and notable events at the university. Several entries also concern Landbeach, including "Rot among the sheep at Landb," where Masters was the rector. Bound in is an unfinished work titled Advice to a student in another, older hand, which declares itself to be a companion to a student during his college studies and a supplement to his tutor's advice, and which advocates religious and sober living; gives advice on what books to read and how to read them; and how to become skilled in Divinity.
