Title: Ivy Duggan papers, 1919-1985.

This collection consists of photocopies of correspondence, articles, a gift receipt list, miscellaneous certificates awards and pamphlets. The correspondence was received by Mr. Duggan upon his resignation as Governor of the Farm Credit Administration in 1953. There are copies of six articles by Duggan, written during his term as FCA Governor, a copy of the gift receipt list from the University of Wyoming, which received a sizable donation of books, clippings and correspondence from Duggan. The rest of the collection, virtually all of which are copies of originals, include certificates, awards, a memorial pamphlet for his grandfather, Ivy W. Duggan, and items of recognition for his son, Dr. Mell L. Duggan, who died in 1979. The material is arranged alphabetically by folder title.

The collection consists of a microfilm and a photocopy of scrapbooks, a record book, and a memorial pamphlet belonging to Ivy Walker Duggan. Scrapbooks include a list of Duggan's Washington Institute (Linton, Hancock County, Georgia) Latin and Greek students and grades (1861); clippings pertaining to Bethlehem Academy (Warthen, Washington County) and Washington Institute; letters and poems written by Duggan during the Civil War (1861-1864) and printed in the Sandersville CENTRAL GEORGIA and the CHRISTIAN INDEX; and material (including student lists 1836; 1838) on Sparta Female Model School (Hancock County). A Bethlehem Academy Record Book (1858-1859) lists students, tuition, programs, etc.; it includes records (1865) for Washington Institute; clippings pertaining to Duggan's newspaper articles "Hancock Boys in Gray," give information on the 15th Georgia. A memorial pamphlet about Duggan contains biographical information and photographs.
