Also include several letters from William Bratton concerning Michael Wise's property in Montgomery County, Ind., and news of family and friends there; and deed, 1834, Montgomery County, Ind. Also include letters, 1862-1864, from John Wise to Mary Wise McClintic concerning camp life, action in Shenandoah Valley (1862), the Seven Days Battle, the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, and other unidentified battles, description of a Union camp, Stonewall Jackson, and capture and wounding of various company members; letter, January, 1865, with condolences to the Wise family on John's death; and copy of muster roll, 1 January 1865, of 14th Virginia Cavalry, Company I.
