The archives of the English novelist Christopher Sykes, friend and official biographer of Evelyn Waugh, include a large group of Waugh letters and comprehensive research files about him. In addition to the extensive family correspondence, with a charming series of rebus letters from his sister Angela Antrim, there are letters from a multitude of literary friends and acquaintances, including John Betjeman, Max Beerbohm, Ivy Compton-Burnett, T. S. Eliot, Graham Greene, Harman Grisewood, Nancy Mitford, Harold Nicolson, Anthony Powell, Osbert Sitwell, and Stephen Spender. The collection also includes considerable research material about Nancy Astor, Robert Byron, and Adam von Trott, subjects of other books by Sykes.

The Jacobson papers consist of original and carbon copy typescripts, holograph manuscripts, computer printouts, notebooks, correspondence, clippings, galley proofs, page proofs, dust jackets, book reviews and advertisements, offprints, programs, handbills, personal documents, and a sound recording, ranging in date from 1941 to 1994. Most of Jacobson's creative works are represented in the collection. For some works, multiple drafts and corrected proofs reveal Jacobson's revision processes, while published reviews show critical response. Common themes in Jacobson's works include racial problems in South Africa, Judaism, and human consciousness. Many of Jacobson's critical works are also present, as are interviews with and articles about him. Most of the correspondence in the collection is incoming correspondence from publishers, periodicals, and other authors. Among the correspondents are Philip Larkin, Mary McCarthy, and Leonard Woolf. Also of significance are fifty-nine letters from Jacobson's literary agent, Henry Volkening, covering the years 1954-64. Among the few personal items in the collection are correspondence regarding Jacobson's application for the Somerset Maugham Award and correspondence relating to his role as a director of Index on Censorship.

Papers of Joseph Close Harsch, a journalist and news broadcaster associated with CBS, BBC, NBC, and the Christian Science Monitor. Harsch's work is revealed through manuscripts of books, Pattern of Conquest (1941) and The Curtain Isn't Iron (1950); Monitor columns, and magazine articles; and scripts. The latter pertain to radio and television programs on NBC, CBS, and BBC, such as Background (NBC), Meaning of the News (CBS), and Report from Washington (CBS). In content, the scripts and articles reflect Harsch's varying assignments from coverage of the Harlan trial in Kentucky, the London Naval Conference, Germany and the Pacific theater during World War II, and post-war foreign affairs responsibilities in London and Washington, D.C. Photographs include portraits of Harsch, circa 1942-1950.

The Alan Pryce-Jones papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts and printed versions of writings, family papers, diaries, financial papers, scrapbooks, photographs and other personal papers. Series I., Correspondence, includes letters from literary colleagues and acquaintances, family, and friends. It documents Pryce-Jones's career as a writer and editor, including many substantive letters from other writers and editors about their work. It also documents his family history, family relationships, and his social life as a member of the English and European aristocracy and, later in life, of American high society. Major correspondents, beyond Pryce-Jones's immediate family, include the Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry and Sir John Betjeman, among many others. Some third-party correspondence is also present. Series II., Writings, contains drafts and printed versions of Pryce-Jones's writings in many genres from throughout his long career. In addition to a large quantity of essays and reviews of literature, music, and theatre, the series includes juvenilia, novels, stories, memoirs, travel books, biographies, translations, poetry, plays, and libretti. Series III., Photographs, contains a photograph album of childhood portraits, as well as snapshots and formal portraits of Pryce-Jones from childhood through his eighties. The series also contains images of his family and friends, including two groups of photos taken at the homes of W. Somerset Maugham and Cyril Connolly. Series IV., Personal Papers, includes diaries, financial papers, family papers, and a few papers relating to Pryce-Jones's military work in MI14 during World War II and his brief political candidacy in 1939. It also includes files relating to renovation and restoration of Pryce-Jones's homes, particularly in Newport, and other personal papers such as address books and travel itineraries.
