Letter to Dr. Atcheson Hench requesting a subscription to the University of Virginia Magazine, citing the magazine's need for more than a hundred more subscriptions in order to bring in enough national advertising to ensure publication. Item #3: no date. Excerpt from "The Virginia University Magazine" featuring an article titled "Impressions and Observations," with the author's thoughts upon first arriving in Charlottesville to become a University of Virginia student, as well as a poem titled "The Stirrup Cup," and part of another article titled "Circumstantial Evidence." The name "Miss Susan Wilson" is written on the bottom of one page.

The papers of Susan C. Wilson, her parents Susan Colston Minor Wilson and John Wilson, her grandfather John Barbee Minor, her aunt Nannie Jacquelin Minor, and her siblings Edmund Minor Wilson and Charlotte Miller Minor Wilson consist primarily of correspondence and photographs. There are also some financial and legal papers, clippings, art work, literary manuscripts and memorabilia. There is considerable material on life at the University of Virginia between 1880 and 1910 including a visit by Grover Cleveland in 1888. Other topics are fatherly advice to girls in the 1890s, World War I, particularly E. Minor Wilson's service in the artillery and Susan C. Wilson's work as an occupational therapist, life at Chatham Hall, 1915-1917, and at Episcopal High, 1914-1916, and Susan C. Wilson's summer as a volunteer with the International Grenfell Association in Labrador, 1931. The collection also contains reminiscences of Prospect Hill, and of family servant Uncle Sancho, a Christmas story of her childhood by Susan C.M. Wilson, a poem re the death of Susan C.M. Wilson, samples of Susan C. Wilson's art work, clippings about Susan C. Wilson's cousin Edmund Wilson as well as two letters to him and one from him, a Civil War soldier's devotional book, World War I postcards particularly from St.-Emilion, and a family silver inventory. There is also a letter from Albert Jeremiah Beveridge re his life of Marshall, one from Virginius Dabney re the Pulitzer Prize, one from Norman L. King, re Japan in 1868, and one from Wilfred Thomason Grenfell.

Klingman. In addition the collection contains letters to family members Charles Scott Venable, Raleigh Colston Minor, and Mary L. Minor. World War I and II and travels abroad are major subjects. Specific topics include U. S. politics, 1875; Virginia in the 1870s; C. C. Pinckney's "Life of General Thomas Pinckney"; James Longstreet's "From Manassas to Appomattox"; the dispute between Venezuela and Great Britain, 1895; training at Camp Lee, Va.; Oxford University, 1915; France, May to November 1918; occupation of Germany, 1919; Haiti, 1925; Italy and France, 1925; England, 1928; France, 1929, including school at Toul; a legal matter concerning an African-American servant of the family, 1940; and job hunting in Washington, D. C., 1943. The collection also contains a family Bible; records, clippings and sketches concerning the related families; "Recipes and Household Hints"; transcripts of letters from Eliza Jacquelin "Betsy" Ambler to Ann "Nancy" Ambler Fisher with many references to John Marshall; photographs of many family members; a Hampton-Sidney catalog, 1896; an Episcopal High School flier, 1925; a Republican National Convention medal; a Stonewall Jackson statue dedication medal; an article on an 1820 visit to Albemarle County by John S. Skinner, editor of the American Farmer; and a poster of a composite photograph of "Confederate Commanders." University of Virginia miscellany includes a poem by Moncure Lyne; a Seven Society card and IMP charm; a pastel drawing of the Rotunda; and three issues of the "Yellow Journal," 1924, 1926, 1929.
