Weekly magazine founded in New York City in 1925 by Harold W. Ross, Jane Grant, Alexander Woollcott and Raoul Fleischman. The records consist of correspondence, interoffice memoranda, edited and corrected manuscripts and typescripts, drawings, statistical reports, lists of story and art ideas, photographs, and sound recordings and printed materials created during the foundation and day-to-day operations of the magazine from 1924-1984. This material documents the production of every issue of the magazine and provides insight on the careers of its staff and contributors.

The American Place Theatre is a not-for-profit theater founded in 1963 in New York City to aid in the advancement of learning in all aspects of the dramatic arts, including the development and advancement in writing, direction, and production of plays. The American Place Theatre Company records document almost five decades of theatrical work produced by the American Place Theatre and the administrative activities of the theater. The bulk of the collection consists of production files that span from 1963 until the 2008-2009 season. The records also contain administrative files that represent the day-to-day operations of the American Place Theatre, minutes of the board of trustees, extensive correspondence of Director Wynn Handman, scripts, and posters.

Title: Charles Kuralt Collection, 1935-1997

Charles Bishop Kuralt (1934-1997), newspaper, radio, and television journalist and author, was born in Wilmington, N.C. Kuralt attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 1951-1955, where he served as editor of the and worked for WUNC radio. Kuralt then joined the staff of the and, in 1957, became a writer for CBS in New York. As a correspondent for CBS, Kuralt was best known for his long-running television series and . He was the author of several best-selling books based on his CBS experiences and the recipient of thirteen Emmy awards and three George Foster Peabody awards.
