This collections includes architectural drawings, files and photographs of projects designed by Woodbridge and his various firms, circa 1928-1960s. These include buildings at Presbyterian Church, Savoonga, St. Lawrence Island, Ala.; Cole Memorial Chapel, Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL; Amherst College, Mass.; Smith College, Mass.; St. Mary the Virgin Church, Chappaqua, N.Y.; St. John's Chapel and Library, Hobart College, Geneva, N.Y.; the Keene Valley Congregational Church, Keene Valley, N.Y.; and the Brick Presbyterian Church and the Episcopal Church Center, both in New York City; as well as other churches, residences, and miscellaneous projects. Also, included are drawings done by Woodbridge while a student at the Columbia School of Architecture, early 1920s; photographs of some of Woodbridge's buildings taken mostly by the architectural photographer Samuel H. Gottscho; a small sample of Woodbridge's correspondence, 1941-1942, documenting his role as chairman of the American Institute of Architects Committee on Architectural Services, relating to the role architects could play in the war effort; sketchbooks of various international locations; and photographs and documents relating to archaeological excavations at Antioch in Pisidia, Turkey.

These include negatives and some prints of Samuel Gottscho, and of houses and their exteriors and interiors, 1900-1930. Also mounted photos of locations on Long Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Staten Island, Rhode Island, and New York City including a wide variety of scenes of houses, farms, churches, beaches, and landscapes. Other photos in the collection were taken by members of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle staff, G. Brainard, and others.

The Raymond Hood Collection comprises one manuscript, eight drawings, and 22 photographs documenting two visionary designs, donated to the Architectural Archives by the widow of Hood's professional collaborator Jacques André Fouilhoux. The most significant holdings in the collection are five original ink sketches signed and annotated by Hood illustrating his "Tower City" proposal of 1927. Three photomechanical enlargements of these sketches are preserved in the collection, two of which were rendered in ink and gouache by Hood and were among a selection of his drawings exhibited in the 1984 exhibition "Raymond Hood: City of Towers," presented by the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Also very important is an extraordinary six page typescript account of the project written by Hamilton M. Wright, with extensive annotations in Hood's handwriting. Photography related to the "Tower City" proposal includes: 18 photoprints of graphics, a model (location of the original is unknown) and views of New York City. Hood's "City Under a Single Roof" proposal of 1929 is documented by four photoprints in the collection: one of an "atmospheric" perspective of a single tower attributed to Carl Landefeld and photographs of three models. The locations of the drawing and models are unknown. Photographers of materials in this collection include W.H. Kelham, Jr., Samuel H. Gottscho and Louis H. Dreyer.

This collection contains 49 black and white photographs of the Allgates estate in Haverford, Pennsylvania. The photos show exterior views of the mansion and outbuildings, interior views of the greenhouse and library, the iris garden, and the quarry garden. Three portraits are of Mrs. Mary Helen Wingate Lloyd. Several other photos are of botanical illustrations and of a 1599 catalog of trees. Also included is a photo of Mrs. Lloyd's bookplate. Some of the photos were taken by Mattie Edwards Hewitt and Samuel H. Gottscho. A 1929 map of the estate and its landscaping, drawn by Lester H. Sellers, is also part of the collection.
